2:226
لِلَّذِينَ يُؤْلُونَ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ تَرَبُّصُ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُر ٍ فَإِنْ فَاءُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Lilladhīna Yu'ulūna Min Nisā'ihim Tarabbuşu 'Arba`ati 'Ash/hurin Fa'in Fā'ū Fa'inna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun 

For those who abstain from their wives, they shall be given four months. If they cease, then God is Forgiving, Merciful.

2:234
وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَاجا ً يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُر ٍ وَعَشْرا ً فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا فَعَلْنَ فِي أَنفُسِهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِير ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yutawaffawna Minkum Wa Yadharūna 'Azwājāan Yatarabbaşna Bi'anfusihinna 'Arba`ata 'Ash/hurin Wa `Ashrāan Fa'idhā Balaghna 'Ajalahunna Falā Junāĥa `Alaykum Fīmā Fa`alna Fī 'Anfusihinna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Khabīrun 

And for those of you whose lives are terminated and they leave widows behind, then their widows will have a required interim period of four months and ten. So when they reach their required interim, then there is no sin upon you for what they do with themselves in goodness. And God is Expert to what you do.

2:260
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي قَالَ فَخُذْ أَرْبَعَة ً مِنَ الطَّيْرِ فَصُرْهُنَّ إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ اجْعَلْ عَلَى كُلِّ جَبَل ٍ مِنْهُنَّ جُزْءا ً ثُمَّ ادْعُهُنَّ يَأْتِينَكَ سَعْيا ً وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيم ٌ
Wa 'Idh Qāla 'Ibrāhīmu Rabbi 'Arinī Kayfa Tuĥyī Al-Mawtá Qāla 'Awalam Tu'umin Qāla Balá Wa Lakin Liyaţma'inna Qalbī Qāla Fakhudh 'Arba`atan Mina Aţ-Ţayri Faşurhunna 'Ilayka Thumma Aj`al `Alá Kulli Jabalin Minhunna Juz'āan Thumma Ad`uhunna Ya'tīnaka Sa`yāan Wa A`lam 'Anna Allāha `Azīzun Ĥakīmun 

And Abraham said: "My Lord, show me how you resurrect the dead." He said: "Do you not already believe?" He said: "I do, but it is so my heart can be relieved." He said: "Choose four birds, then cut them, then place parts of the birds on each mountain, then call them to you; they will come racing towards you. And know that God is Noble, Wise."

4:15
وَاللاَّتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمْ فَاسْتَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعَة ً مِنْكُمْ فَإِنْ شَهِدُوا فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ حَتَّى يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ الْمَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلا ً
Wa Al-Lātī Ya'tīna Al-Fāĥishata Min Nisā'ikum Fāstash/hidū `Alayhinna 'Arba`atan Minkum Fa'in Shahidū Fa'amsikūhunna Fī Al-Buyūti Ĥattá Yatawaffāhunna Al-Mawtu 'Aw Yaj`ala Allāhu Lahunna Sabīlāan 

And those of your women who commit lewdness, you shall bring four witnesses over them from among you; if they bear witness, then you shall restrict them in the homes until death terminates their lives, or God makes for them a way out.

9:2
فَسِيحُوا فِي الأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُر ٍ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْزِي الْكَافِرِينَ
Fasīĥū Fī Al-'ArĐi 'Arba`ata 'Ash/hurin Wa A`lamū 'Annakum Ghayru Mu`jizī Allāhi Wa 'Anna Allāha Mukhzī Al-Kāfirīna 

"Therefore, roam the land for four months and know that you will not escape God, and that God will humiliate the rejecters."

9:36
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرا ً فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُم ٌ ذَلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ فَلاَ تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّة ً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّة ً وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
'Inna `Iddata Ash-Shuhūri `Inda Allāhi Athnā `Ashara Shahrāan Fī Kitābi Allāhi Yawma Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐa Minhā 'Arba`atun Ĥurumun Dhālika Ad-Dīnu Al-Qayyimu Falā Tažlimū Fīhinna 'Anfusakum Wa Qātilū Al-Mushrikīna Kāffatan Kamā Yuqātilūnakum Kāffatan Wa A`lamū 'Anna Allāha Ma`a Al-Muttaqīna 

The count of the months with God is twelve months in the book of God the day He created the heavens and the earth; four of them are restricted. This is the correct system; so do not wrong yourselves in them; and fight the polytheists collectively as they fight you collectively. And know that God is with the righteous.

24:4
وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَة ً وَلاَ تَقْبَلُوا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةً أَبَدا ً وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yarmūna Al-Muĥşanāti Thumma Lam Ya'tū Bi'arba`ati Shuhadā'a Fājlidūhum Thamānīna Jaldatan Wa Lā Taqbalū Lahum Shahādatan 'Abadāan Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Fāsiqūna 

And those who accuse the independent females, then they do not bring forth four witnesses, you shall lash them with eighty lashes, and do not accept their testimony ever; and those are the wicked.

24:6
وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ شُهَدَاءُ إِلاَّ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَادَات ٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّه ُُ لَمِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yarmūna 'Azwājahum Wa Lam Yakun Lahum Shuhadā'u 'Illā 'Anfusuhum Fashahādatu 'Aĥadihim 'Arba`u Shahādātin Billāhi 'Innahu Lamina Aş-Şādiqīna 

And those who accuse their spouses, but they have no witnesses except for themselves, then the testimony of one of them is to be equivalent to that of four witnesses if it is sworn by God that he is being truthful.

24:8
وَيَدْرَأُ عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَات ٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّه ُُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
Wa Yadra'u `Anhā Al-`Adhāba 'An Tash/hada 'Arba`a Shahādātin Billāhi 'Innahu Lamina Al-Kādhibīna 

And the punishment will be averted from her if she bears witness four times by God that he is of the liars.

24:13
لَوْلاَ جَاءُوا عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِالشُّهَدَاءِ فَأُوْلَائِكَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ
Lawlā Jā'ū `Alayhi Bi'arba`ati Shuhadā'a Fa'idh Lam Ya'tū Bish-Shuhadā'i Fa'ūlā'ika `Inda Allāhi Humu Al-Kādhibūna 

If only they had brought four witnesses to it. If they did not have the witnesses, then these with God are the liars.

24:45
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَابَّة ٍ مِنْ مَاء ٍ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى بَطْنِه ِِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى رِجْلَيْنِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى أَرْبَع ٍ يَخْلُقُ اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
Wa Allāhu Khalaqa Kulla Dābbatin Min Mā'in Faminhum Man Yamshī `Alá Baţnihi Wa Minhum Man Yamshī `Alá Rijlayni Wa Minhum Man Yamshī `Alá 'Arba`in Yakhluqu Allāhu Mā Yashā'u 'Inna Allāha `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun 

And God created every moving creature from water. So some of them move on their bellies, and some walk on two legs, and some walk on four. God creates whatever He wills. God is capable of all things.

41:10
وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا وَبَارَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَا أَقْوَاتَهَا فِي أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّام ٍ سَوَاء ً لِلسَّائِلِينَ
Wa Ja`ala Fīhā Rawāsiya Min Fawqihā Wa Bāraka Fīhā Wa Qaddara Fīhā 'Aqwātahā Fī 'Arba`ati 'Ayyāmin Sawā'an Lilssā'ilīna 

And He placed in it stabilizers from above it, and He blessed it and established its provisions in proportion in four days, to satisfy those who ask.

18:22
سَيَقُولُونَ ثَلاَثَة ٌ رَابِعُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ خَمْسَة ٌ سَادِسُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ رَجْما ً بِالْغَيْبِ وَيَقُولُونَ سَبْعَة ٌ وَثَامِنُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ قُلْ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِعِدَّتِهِمْ مَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيل ٌ فَلاَ تُمَارِ فِيهِمْ إِلاَّ مِرَاء ً ظَاهِرا ً وَلاَ تَسْتَفْتِ فِيهِمْ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدا ً
Sayaqūlūna Thalāthatun Rābi`uhum Kalbuhum Wa Yaqūlūna Khamsatun Sādisuhum Kalbuhum Rajmāan Bil-Ghaybi Wa Yaqūlūna Sab`atun Wa Thāminuhum Kalbuhum Qul Rabbī 'A`lamu Bi`iddatihim Mā Ya`lamuhum 'Illā Qalīlun Falā Tumāri Fīhim 'Illā Mirā'an žāhirāan Wa Lā Tastafti Fīhim Minhum 'Aĥadāan 

They will say: "Three, the fourth is their dog." And they say: "Five, the sixth is their dog," guessing at what they do not know. And they say: "Seven, and the eighth is their dog." Say: "My Lord is fully aware of their number, none know them except for a few." So do not argue regarding them except with proof, and do not seek information regarding them from anyone.

58:7
أَلَمْ تَرَى أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَا يَكُونُ مِنْ نَجْوَى ثَلاَثَة ٍ إِلاَّ هُوَ رَابِعُهُمْ وَلاَ خَمْسَة ٍ إِلاَّ هُوَ سَادِسُهُمْ وَلاَ أَدْنَى مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَلاَ أَكْثَرَ إِلاَّ هُوَ مَعَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كَانُوا ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيم ٌ
'Alam Tará 'Anna Allāha Ya`lamu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'ArĐi Mā Yakūnu Min Najwá Thalāthatin 'Illā Huwa Rābi`uhum Wa Lā Khamsatin 'Illā Huwa Sādisuhum Wa Lā 'Adná Min Dhālika Wa Lā 'Akthara 'Illā Huwa Ma`ahum 'Ayna Mā Kānū Thumma Yunabbi'uhum Bimā `Amilū Yawma Al-Qiyāmati 'Inna Allāha Bikulli Shay'in `Alīmun 

Do you not realize that God knows everything in the heavens and everything on the earth? No three people can meet secretly without Him being their fourth, nor five without Him being the sixth, nor less than that, nor more, without Him being there with them wherever they may be. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of everything they had done. God is fully aware of all things.

4:3
وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلاَّ تُقْسِطُوا فِي الْيَتَامَى فَانكِحُوا مَا طَابَ لَكُمْ مِنَ النِسَاء مَثْنَى وَثُلاَثَ وَرُبَاعَ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلاَّ تَعْدِلُوا فَوَاحِدَةً أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَلاَّ تَعُولُوا
Wa 'In Khiftum 'Allā Tuqsiţū Fī Al-Yatāmá Fānkiĥū Mā Ţāba Lakum Mina An-Nisā' Mathná Wa Thulātha Wa Rubā`a Fa'in Khiftum 'Allā Ta`dilū Fawāĥidatan 'Aw Mā Malakat 'Aymānukum Dhālika 'Adná 'Allā Ta`ūlū 

And if you fear that you cannot be just to the orphans, then you may marry those who are agreeable to you of the women: two, and three, and four. But if you fear you will not be fair, then only one, or whom you maintain by your oaths. This is best that you do not face financial hardship.

35:1
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ رُسُلاً أُولِي أَجْنِحَة ٍ مَثْنَى وَثُلاَثَ وَرُبَاعَ يَزِيدُ فِي الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
Al-Ĥamdu Lillāhi Fāţiri As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐi Jā`ili Al-Malā'ikati Rusulāan 'Ūlī 'Ajniĥatin Mathná Wa Thulātha Wa Rubā`a Yazīdu Fī Al-Khalqi Mā Yashā'u 'Inna Allāha `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun 

Praise be to God, Initiator of the heavens and the earth; maker of the angels as messengers with wings of two, and three, and four. He increases in the creation as He wishes. God is able to do all things.
